Religion remains at the centre of all human affairs. No matter how one avoids the factor of religion, it continues to dominate attention. As CATHAN clocks 40 in 2025, it is good to pause and reflect on the approaches to religion in our contemporary Nigerian society and the theological questions they raise and provoke. What type of hope do these approaches give to people searching for meaning today? The theme challenges theologians to provide creative theological reflections that also reflect the aspirations of the 2025 Jubilee year of hope.
The chosen theme is wide enough to give everyone the room to enlarge the discussion, given that the contemporary religious environment in Nigeria is very diverse.
